- 1914 Foundation of the company “Werkstatt Apparatebau Emil Wolf”. He led his company through 1937, economic and very serious health problems forced him to sell.
- 1938 Hermann Holzapfel took over the troubled company in 1938.
- 1939 conversion of the “Werkstatt Apparatebau Emil Wolf” into “Autogenwerk EWO”
- 1941 Total destruction in the Second World War
- 1943 rebuilding of the company in the High Street
- 1955 Move to new location Vaihingen industrial area
- 1964 conversion of “Autogenwerk” in “Armaturen- und Autogengerätefabrik EWO H. Holzapfel KG” and ordered his sons to limited partners
- 1964 50 year company anniversary and inauguration of the large main building
- 1970 purchase of surrounding land for expansion
- 1973 Construction of storage and shipping building
- 1980 demolition and rebuilding and expansion of the warehouse
- 2002 resignation of Hermann, Klaus and Bernd Holzapfel
- 2002 continuation by Mr. Gerd Holzapfel
- 2008 continuation by Jürgen Holzapfel
